Dear Resident
You are receiving this as you live in the vicinity of Burglary that occurred on Felcourt Drive on Wednesday 8th April between 22:10hrs and 22:17hrs The method of attack was by snapping the cylinder lock allowing entry.
Between the times and date stated, two suspects approached a property and forcibly knock the Ring doorbell camera from its mount. They then tried to kick the front door to gain entry but were unsuccessful. The suspects moved to the rear of the property, where they attempted to smash a kitchen window but again failed to get inside. They then snapped the rear door lock using unknown means and gained entry. Once inside, the suspects carried out an untidy search and stole items before leaving the area.
Firstly, if you have CCTV or a doorbell camera, please check it between the times and dates above to check if you had any activations.
Secondly if you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock.
Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. Whilst we do not wish to scare anyone, it is always good to review your own security, and report anything suspicious to the Police. Should you have any information about either burglary please contact us on 101. Thanks
