Day of Action Little Horton ward

Dear Resident,

On Wednesday 11th May a day of action in conjunction with Bradford Council was held in the Little Horton ward.

The Neighbourhood wardens Farrukh and Laura teamed up with the local PCSO's to deliver input's at Newby Primary School and St Stephens Primary School educating children around litter and recycling.

Council officers Jon and Maria conducted a visual audit of the area and then followed this up by placing signage in relation to Littering, Bird Feeding, Dog Fouling and Fly-Tipping in hot spot areas along with two PCSO's who leafleted houses educating residents how to spot a cannabis factory in their neighbourhood.

Police Officers from the local NPT team, executed a warrant at an address in the area and discovered a cannabis factory within the property. Over 190 cannabis plants recovered, and investigation is ongoing.

The Council's taskforce team with the help of Warden Tony did an amazing job of clearing the fly-tipping on Todwell Lane and the snicket leading from Halycon Way and Pennington Terrace.

Op Steerside were out in the area both mobile patrols on motorbikes and working in partnership with our Environmental Enforcement Officers.

3 vehicles were stopped. 1 seized by Op Steerside and dealt with for having no road tax and 3 producers for waster carriers licence offences were issued.

Overall a very productive day in Little Horton from all agencies.
