The Addy turns 50!

This year the Old Quarry Adventure Playground in Knottingley celebrates it's 50th anniversary.

To mark the occasion on Wednesday the 11th of May the staff at the Addy put on an evening of celebrations, where awards were given out in various categories to numerous people who have helped to support it over the years.

The evening was a great success with the staff pulling out all the stops to make it a memorable evening for everyone involved.

Receiving one of the awards on the night was our PCSO Aaron Riley, who runs weekend community sports sessions at the Addy to youngsters on his beat and was presented with an acknowledgement of being a 'Brillant Advocate'

PCSO Riley said "The Adventure Playground staff do a magnificent job in creating a fun & safe environment for children to play and flourish!

The Addy is the real heartbeat of the Warwick Estate and we would be lost without it!"

To learn more information on what the Addy provides for the community or to get involved please see the Old Quarry Adventure Playground's facebook page.

Pictured here we have the hardworking staff enjoying the evenings celebrations along with Aaron receiving his award.
