Audi RS5 stolen from Ossett in car key burglary

Good morning

A white Audi RS5 has been stolen from Church Street, Ossett in the early hours of Thursday 05 June.

The suspects gained entry to the property by smashing the glass on the rear door. The car keys were removed from the kitchen and the car stolen from outside the property.

Remember to remove car keys from sight at night – place them away from view of a window or glazed door.

If you have a house alarm don’t forget to set it when you go to bed.

Think about installing an immobiliser where a unique PIN or code sequence is inputted before the car will start. Consider a visible deterrent such as a steering wheel lock to keep your vehicles safe and secure.

There’s lots of helpful advice on our website Vehicle crime | West Yorkshire Police

Check the standard of lock within your door. Look for snap safe/anti snap locks. The link gives further advice on these types of locks Euro-cylinder advice | West Yorkshire Police
