Drugs arrest - You Said, We Did!


Dear Resident,

 

On Monday 7th April, PCs Gale, Garlick and Milner from Wakefield Central NPT responded to a report from a member of the public that a black Toyota vehicle was dealing drugs on Lower York St, Wakefield. 


The vehicle was located and both the male driver and female passenger were searched along with the vehicle. Several wraps of suspected crack cocaine and heroin as well as hundreds of pounds in cash and several mobile phones were located and seized. 
Both individuals were arrested for possession with intent to supply drugs and possession of criminal property, the driver was also arrested on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified. The investigation is ongoing.

 

Wakefield district NPT will always act on credible information from the local community in a bid to reduce crime and protect our communities.
