On the 13th March 2025, West Yorkshire Police Mounted section supported Leeds East NPT Teams, to conduct targeted proactive patrols across Gipton.

The deployments focussed on high visibility hotspot patrols, to address reports of anti-social behaviour and suspected drugs supply, with a view to identifying and disrupting offenders.

The Mounted section also visited St Nicholas Catholic Primary School, whilst patrolling the area so pupils could meet horses Edward and Lola and learn what the horses do to keep communities safe.
