Burmantofts and Richmond Hill Neighbourhood Policing Team continue to take a proactive, educational, preventative and enforceable approach to Road Safety matters across the ward, in line with the Vision Zero Strategy. Officers have conducted multiple days of action and enforcement patrols in partnership with Leeds City Council Parking Services and WYP Operational Support Units, following continued concerns raised by members of the public, local businesses, partner agencies, schools and the elected members. To date a staggering total of 157 tickets have been issued, which clearly evidences a total disregard to restrictions in place, to protect the safety of others and give the freedom of mobility. We will continue to work alongside our partner agencies and operational support teams to address the community concerns raised, ensuring other road users, pedestrians and cyclists are kept safe.
