Here are some tips to keeping your home secure * Get into the habit of locking doors and windows when you are leaving or arriving home. * Try to make your home look occupied by using timer switches or fake LED TV simulator. * If you are going away from home at the time the bins are collected, consider asking a neighbour/family/friend to take out your bins and bring back in. Even if they will be empty *Don't leave packaging around the bins that may advertise what goods are in your home. Such as game consoles, phones, computers, laptops etc *Be a good neighbour and watch properties around you. Report anything suspicious to police on 101 non emergency and 999 for ongoing crime or risk of harm. * If you have a door with a cylinder lock (composite or UPVC doors mainly) please check the lock.
Make sure you are satisfied with the rating and is fitted correctly. The locks we recommend have 3 stars written on the front (see image) and are TS007 or SS312 rated. Many firms offer these anti-snap locks. and report anything suspicious to the Police.
