On Saturday 3rd August from 10 am until 3pm, the WYFRS will be holding a Fire Station open day at Killingbeck Fire Station. As some of the Leeds East NPT Teams are stationed at the Fire Station, we have been requested to support the day and are pleased to announce we will be displaying at the event.

NPT will have mini police uniforms, a colouring-in station, and some free purse bells, stickers for young people, pencils and crime prevention leaflets. We will also have on show for photo opportunities the vintage Percy and Penelope bubble cars that many years ago were utilised for delivering school inputs and resource dependant one of our Police Mascots.

We are also going to be joined by the following:

• Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit YHROCU – who will be in attendance with the Cyber Blue Line vehicle – an engagement vehicle equipped with gaming consoles to learn about Cyber Safety (aged 12 plus) – more information at Cyber Blue Line - Home
• CSI – interactive mini crime scene
• LCC Capable Guardians will also be joining the event to engage with communities and inform them what they will be doing out in the community along with providing crime prevention materials (subject to them arriving on time/new funded items)

This is the first station open day for Killingbeck Fire Station, and WYFRS will have a range of items on show/offer as per the attached poster. WYFRS hope to make this a yearly event moving forward, should all go well with a view to incorporating more partners who can offer activities for young people and families.
