Last week a Women and Girls Personal Safety event was held at Nowell Mount Community Centre, after residents approached Councillors expressing concerns about feeling unsafe on the street. 

Leeds East NPT officers and the crime prevention officer, alongside Women's Live Leeds, partner agencies and Councillor Manaka supported the event, which was was co-produced by a group of local women from the Nowell's Community Group, M.A.S.C (Mums and Dads Against Street Crime). 

A successful and informative event, with lots of questions and answers along with personal safety advice provided.
