If you are making plans to travel, and your property is going to be unoccupied for some time then please review your security. Is it obvious that there is nobody at home?
Use a “fake TV” or a "Dummy TV Simulator" This is a device that emits light like a television and has a built in timer which is safe to leave plugged in. These are available to buy online for approx £10.Ask a neighbour to park their vehicle on your drive whilst you are away.Secure garden gates and restrict access to the rear of your property.If you are considering CCTV look at the video doorbells which are shown to deter offenders and provide excellent video images.Don't advertise on Social Media that you are going away, or when you are away. Tell everyone about your travels when you get back.
